"When tragedy strikes, no family should have to face it alone."

Nearly 30 years ago, Heidi Snow Cinader, author of, “Surviving Sudden Loss”, founded ACCESS after losing a loved one aboard TWA Flight 800. Since then, ACCESS has helped thousands of families affected by aviation accidents, terrorism, mass disasters, and sudden loss.

At the heart of ACCESS is an extraordinary network of volunteer grief mentors, each of whom has experienced sudden loss firsthand. We thoughtfully connect grieving families with someone who has walked a similar path… a mother with a mother, a spouse with a spouse, a sibling with a sibling.

It is compassion born from shared experience, ensuring that no grieving family has to walk alone.
